What a thyroid panel measures
The Thyroid Function package at Eden includes three markers: TSH, Free T3 and Free T4. TSH is the signalling hormone released by the pituitary gland; Free T3 and Free T4 are the circulating thyroid hormones themselves. Measuring all three together gives your doctor a fuller picture than a single marker.
Laboratory values are only meaningful when read alongside your symptoms, history and examination. Eden reports the measured values against the laboratory reference ranges; interpretation belongs with your treating clinician.
